Attacking Pit Bull Subdued With Taser Once again, Tasers are used to effectively and with out causing damage but citizens are denied this self defense product. This incident took place in Australia where there was a massive confiscation of guns by the government in 1997-1999.

A police officer used a Taser to subdue a pit bull terrier yesterday when it viciously attacked a woman at her home in Sydney’s west.

The attack came as an ambulance service spokesman said 12 people had been bitten by dogs in the past 24 hours.

Police were called to the Parramatta house about 10:30am to investigate an assault on a man who also lived there.

When police moved in to arrest the woman because she was hindering their investigation, the dog attacked one officer and then latched on to the woman’s arm.

An officer then stunned the animal with a Taser and restrained it in a room in the house.

Nice to know that Tasers also work against attacking dogs.

Wisconsin Woman Uses Pepper Spray To Fend Off Attacker Pepper spray is legal in Wisconsin as long as its not more than 10% concentration. Many people like the woman below believe pepper spray to be illegal in Wisconsin.

A 20-year-old Madison woman who was grabbed and being dragged to an alley Tuesday afternoon got out of the suspect’s grasp by spraying him in the face with pepper spray, Madison police reported.

The woman didn’t report the attack until the next day, fearing she’d get in trouble for having pepper spray.

Not so.

“In Madison, it is legal to possess pepper spray and use it in self-defense,” said Madison Police spokesman Joel DeSpain.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. Monday on State Street near Lake Street.

“A disheveled man grabbed her by the wrist and tried to pull her into an alley,” DeSpain said. “After she sprayed him in the face, he let go of her arm, put his hands to his face and bellowed out a swear word.”

“The investigating officer told her this was a serious incident that needed to be reported immediately so police might have a better chance of arresting a suspect,” DeSpain said.

Crooks Target Disabled, Elderly For Assault, Robbery I don’t know why the the police are surprised that scumbags are attacking the elderly and disabled. They will always go after the weak. That’s why its important to be strong even if you have to carry something extra to give you that strength…like a pepper spray or stun gun — no matter your age.

In Cincinnati Police Detectives say criminals are now attacking disabled people and the elderly.

Investigators said it’s unusual that crooks are targeting those who can’t fight back, and what’s even more outrageous is that they still do it even if they only get away with a few dollars.

Good Samaritan Stops Hit-And-Run Driver With Pepper Spray This true story is about a man who witnesses a hit and run crash and took matters into his own hands. He followed a hit-and-run suspect and stopped him with pepper spray. Good for him!

With the help of a good Samaritan, Knoxville, TN Police arrested a man who crashed into another car and fled the scene.

Police said Larry Bashears crashed his 2004 Nissan Titan pick up into the car of Mary Johnson of Lexington on Wednesday on the 9000 block of Kingston Pike. And he never stopped.

Peter Bolton witnessed the crash and after checking on Johnson followed Bashears down Kingston Pike and Concord Rd.

“I wanted to find out why he was running,” Bolton said. “And then one thing lead to another.”

Bolton said Bashears’ drove as far as he could on three tires until his engine blew out. That’s when the two men confronted one another and Bolton pepper sprayed him.

“Eventually he came to the floor and I managed to get his right arm around the stop sign. He eventually stopped trying to escape,” said Bolton who held Bashears down until the police showed up.

Just remember, if he hadn’t been carrying pepper spray, he may have done the same thing but would have been in greater danger.
